What is FCYPAA? In 2008, the Fresno County Young People in AA group was established to provide an opportunity for young AA's in Fresno County to regularly come together and share their experience, strength and hope. We define "Young" as anyone with room to grow. Everyone is Welcome.
FCYPAA Mission Statement
Fresno County Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (FCYPAA) is a committee sprung out of AA's 5th and 9th Traditions having a primary spiritual aim, that of carrying the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers. We have no governing body and we ought never to name boards to govern but we shall always need to authorize workers to serve our fellowship. Our hope is to unify young people in our area by practicing the principles of AA through meetings, events, and outreach animated by the spirit of service and the necessity of “absolutely insisting on enjoying life!”

In 1973, the All California Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous Round-Up was established as an annual gathering in California to provide an opportunity for young AA’s to come together and share their experience, strength, and hope. ACYPAA is visible evidence that large numbers of people are achieving a lasting and comfortable sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous. AA’s who attend an ACYPAA Round-Up return home better prepared to receive young alcoholics who come to AA seeking recovery.
The ACYPAA Round-Up is held anywhere in California where young people’s groups can demonstrate: 1) the need for an activity like this to stimulate greater involvement and participation by young people in their area; 2) the ability of their group to function responsibly within the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous; and 3) the ability of the group to host a Round-Up representative of the diversity of California young people in Alcoholics Anonymous.
